When I was in high school my aspirations were to go to college and finish. I never really thought about what I wanted to be when I got out of college just that I wanted to finish. Back then, I guess I just wanted the prestige of being a college graduate. It has taken me 15 years to finally reach my goal and though it has been a long journey and I have endured 5 different colleges to get to this point, I am thrilled that I found Columbia College. The online program has provided me with the opportunity to attain my degree while working simultaneously. The d2l learning environment was just as effective, for me, as the classroom setting and taught me self-discipline, something I lacked significantly before my stint at CC. At any rate, I'm thankful that I am finally going to reach my goal of becoming a college graduate, as I will be the first in my family to do so. Not only will I reach this goal but plan to go on and pursue a master’s degree. I've learned that education is the key to life and I'm not ready to stop learning. Thank you Columbia College! I will be proud to be an alumni of this institution.
