Attending Columbia College and graduating has been a rewarding and challenging experience for me. As a Psychology Major soon to receive my Bachelor of Arts, I am astounded and grateful for how much I have learned in each and every course. Realizing this goal has helped me attain a confidence level and employment that in the past would have been out of reach. In my opinion, higher education means so much more than just a degree. It means freedom, it means success and most of all it means self- respect for having the dedication and drive to stay the course. Recently I was inducted into the Phi Omicron Chapter and am very honored.

The in-seat teachers, especially Dr. Jennifer Aurand and Ruth Richards-Schlarmann, as well as the Director, Beth Koeller and her assistant, Kay Oppold at Columbia College ( in Freeport, IL) have assisted me every step of the way. The teachers brought real life situations into the classroom daily and with passion, compelling students to achieve. The Director and her wonderful assistant gave support, enabling management of courses with care and concern, always willing to listen and advise. The online teachers provided the extra comment to guide and stimulate discussion; ever available to answer questions.

This is a wonderful learning institution that has allowed me in my own time to find exactly the mode and means to complete a successful school career and I am excited for the opportunity offered me and appreciative for everyone that has helped along the way.
