While being completely immersed in school-work for my final semester here at Columbia College, I cannot help but take a step back and look at my experiences here at the college. In reflecting on my time here I can truly say Columbia College is not just a building or some business but it is more like my family. It’s a place that I love to go to, when I think of the college I get that warm fuzzy feeling inside. It has an environment that is friendly, caring, and educational. I strongly hold the conviction that if I did not go to Columbia College I would be a different person. I was given the ability to discover myself, to make mistakes, to learn the important lessons in life. I can think of several professors that demand excellence in the class, forcing me to achieve a higher standard in everything I did. I cannot put my finger on what it is about Columbia College but it is unlike any other organization or culture that I have been exposed too. I feel bitter sweet about the short amount of time that I have left at the college, but I know once I graduate I will be given the latitude to truly give back to the college. I look forward to the opportunity to be an ambassador of good will for the college. In closing I whole heartily care about this college while others intend to move on and grow apart, I know that I will move closer to Columbia College and try to make it a better place.
