Columbia College has been a great choice for me. I attended State Fair Community College before Columbia College and I was taking 6 credit hours in 16 weeks. If I had stayed there it would have taken me much longer to receive my degree. Moving to Columbia College sped up the process for a busy single mother working full-time. I am grateful that I made the decision to move to Columbia College where there are evening and online classes that fit into my schedule.
My main goal since I graduated from high school in 2001 has been to complete my Bachelors degree. My son was born in 2004 and I did not go back to school until 2006. I never imagined that I would go back but my mother has been my inspiration. She decided to continue her education when I was in the third grade. I knew if she could do it, then so could I, and she would be very proud of me for working so hard, just like she did. She instilled in me at a young age that college is very important. I want my son to know this as well. I will never forget how happy she was on her graduation day and I am grateful that I was old enough to remember it.
Within the next 3 to 5 years I hope to complete the MBA at Columbia College. In 10 years I see myself with the job of my dreams although I am not sure what that is yet. Thanks to Columbia College I will be more employable when the opportunity to land my dream job arises! Columbia College has been wonderful for me and I suggest it to everyone that is thinking about starting or returning to college.
